Making the Most of Online Golf Swing Instructions
The great thing about Internet is that it is literally a plethora of all sorts of information that any user all over the world would ever be interested in. The same thing goes for instructions on golf swing. If you are having trouble with your golf swing, then you might as well turn to the information superhighway to grab some online golf swing instructions that you can use. This way, you will not have a hard time finding the help that you very well need.
If you are practicing and executing your swing the wrong way, then it will not matter how many hours you exert each and every day. You will find that you golf swing will not become any better at all. Other times, when you go to the driving range and ask help from fellow golfers there, you just might receive the wrong instructions and tips. This means you will just be wasting your time and effort going to the golf course or driving range for these tips. You would really be better off just staying at home and browsing the web for quality online golf swing instructions.
One particular online golf swing instruction that just might come in handy pertains to head movement. A lot of people might tell you to keep your head down when you are executing your golf swing. This is not the correct way to do this at all. Rather, you should keep your eye on the ball, and you cannot effectively do this if you just keep your head down, right? Thus, keep you head held up and your eyes strictly focused on the ball and on your target area, to which you want to drive your ball to.
Another valuable piece of online golf swing instruction that you should pay attention to is to keep your body as relaxed as possible. Remember that you have to execute your golf swing in one fluid movement. How then can you do this with a rigid stance and a grip that is all too firm? Gripping your club too tightly, for instance, can even result to sliced shots so this should be one thing to look out for. Just keep your grip not too tight, yet not too loose as well. This way, you can direct your ball more accurately.
You should also pay attention to your back swing. As many online golf swing instructions would have, this is the part where you accumulate the needed power for your swing. Thus, this plays an important role as well.

How To Discover The Best Golf Grip For You And Join The Golf Super Swing Club
So you want to be one of those super swing machines? Your golf club grip can make or break your game. Get back to basics on the driving range and take some time to find the perfect fit for you. The flight of the ball is directly related to the way you place your hands on the club. What are the most popular golf grips?
1. The Baseball Golf Grip
Although not preferred by instructors, the Baseball or Ten Finger technique is the most natural one to use when taking up golfing. It doesn’t involve interlocked fingers and is a simple hand over hand method. If you are right handed, this hand will normally be placed at the bottom. The little finger of the right hand is placed close against the index finger of the left hand. Reverse the process if you are left handed. Over the years a number of PGA Tour members have used this style with great success. Players with smallish hands or joint ailments will find this golf grip to be effective.
2. The Vardon Golf Club Grip
This one, also called the Overlapping golf grip, carries the name of the inimitable Harry Vardon. This six time winner of the British Open Championships used it to great effect. Assuming that you are right handed, this hand will be at the bottom. This trailing hand’s little finger lays snugly over and between the index finger and middle finger of the top or left hand, also referred to as the lead hand. The thumb of the top hand finds a place along the lifeline of the bottom or trailing hand. This is perhaps the style that is most commonly used. It is ideal for players with large hands.
3. The Interlocking Golf Grip
This is similar to the Vardon, but here the little finger of the trailing hand interlocks with the index finger of the top hand. The thumbs form a ‘V’ shape which should point in the direction of your right shoulder. Interlocking is usually suitable if the golfer has medium-sized hands or weak forearms and wrists. Make sure that you can see the first two knuckles of the left hand.
There you have the three basic techniques. You have to experiment on the driving range until you find the golf club grip that works best for you. Generally speaking, your control will be better if you use one of the interlocking styles. The Baseball is less effective in this regard and will in a sense disturb the balance. One hand will always be more powerful in this case – a scenario that is likely to be detrimental to your game.
Remember to be relaxed when it comes to this aspect of your game. Too much tension will be counter productive. Tension problems are usually more advanced on the right side. Make sure that you keep this at a medium level. Aim for around 5 to 6 on a scale of 10. Too tight a hold will result in loss of distance.
Check your hands often to make sure that you haven’t changed their position inadvertently. The wrists should always function as a unit.
While talking about your grip: Don’t forget to pay attention to the grips you use on your clubs. Many players pay more attention to golf cart accessories than to these small necessities. While you can get by with a used golf cart, you can’t afford to skimp on this little item. Your set has to be perfect for you and must be kept in sound condition.
These small golf grip details can spell the difference between a nightmarish experience on the course, or a confidence-building success-story.

Golf Is Not Fun – But It Can Be If You Have A Simple Golf Swing
If you are not a Golfer… Go away !! If you have never sliced a ball deep into a neighborhood or into the darkest woods you have ever seen.. than …….. Go away !!! If you have driven by a golf course and not thought ” I wonder what the green fees are there” ..Go away!!
This writing is for Golfers only. It’s not for a disinterested party who wouldn’t know a mully from a bogey. Or better yet what a “mully bogey” was and how you get one. So if you are in that class buzz off. You will be bored to death here. Save yourself the agony. See ya !
Now for anyone who is left…let’s get something straight.. YOUR GOLFBALL FLIGHT !!!!!!!
I spend a lot of time on the driving range. I hit hundreds of balls a day. Not every day, but close. I know alot about the golf swing. I have been doing that for many years ..(pssst I am past 59 years of age.) And I have a talent for viewing other people’s golf swing in a constructive way. That means I can see things that need fix’n.
And believe me I see a lot that needs fix’n! It’s kinda like having a talent or an ability that you don’t really want. Like a curse. It’s there, whether you want it or not! You could maybe write a Stephen King Novel…
” Attack of the Simple Golf Swing from another World “
And when I tell you that, as I meander along the driving range, what I see just flat floors me.
Some of the worst moves in the history of mankind. Repeated over and over and over. Why? Why would they do that.
Slice after slice. Grounder after grounder. It’s incredible! Moving all over the place like they are dancing with the wisp of the wind. An unseen force creating a movement that could never be repeated. But yet, there they are. Practicing. I do give them credit. They are there! Working on the swing! But to me it is a nightmare.
Why? Oh Why do they do it?
I can only assume that there are a number of reasons why all this practice is taking place.
1. They are just getting out of the house for an hour or so
2. They are going to play golf in a few days and thought they would sharpen up for the big match
3. They think that the last instruction on the golf swing will work so they are going to try it
4. They got new clubs ( but they have never hit them )
5. They found out a bucket of balls was half price
I don’t know the real answer.
But I do know this… I have only seen one or two golf swings in my whole life that could not be fixed. One was a friend of mind from Bangor Me… he is the bar tender at Capt Nick’s Restaurant .. I actually saw him hit his tee shot into the parking lot at the Municipal Golf Course. Not so strange .. you are probably thinking you’ve seen that before. Well this parking lot was directly BEHIND the tee box.
Because most golfers can fix their swings and because it would not take much to do it, it is always a wonder to me why they don’t all do it.
I think it is partly because there is So much information out there. And it conflicts! Do this to fix that and do that to fix this. Most of it is crap !!
The Golf Swing is Simple. Doing it is not. Discover the secrets to a simple swing and you have the choice of lowering your score 7-12 strokes.
That said ……. if you golfers would just follow some basic rules, believe in them, get comfortable with them, and practice them… if you all would just do that..your results for you would be amazing.
Here are the basics, wait no running off. I know you have heard this before and have dismissed it because it didn’t apply to you, or was not comfortable, or your body won’t do that, or any number of excuses so that your comfort zone was not invaded.
Get over it!!
So here you go- Grip, Set-up, Alignment, Spine angle Arm Position, Head Position, Knee bend, Left foot position, Right Foot position, Butt out, Chin up , Weight distribution, Ball Position….
Have you even begun to move yet ? Heck no.. and you look like a pretzel.
Alright let’s get real for a second. I have never seen a good player with a bad grip.. well maybe one. That is Paul Azinger. He has the worst grip in the world. He breaks every swing rule in the books, but he can flat play.. he is an exception!!
You must have a good grip.. you must repeat it every single time.. no matter what !
Your setup must be solid .. every single time..
You must have an understanding of swing path and swing plane .. they are not the same.
You must have a complete and total understanding of the impact position.
You must hit down on the ball ……….. every single time ..exception to this may be the woods.
If you have a bad grip… you cannot do any of the above .. ever.. if you hit a good shot with a bad grip it most likely was an accident and you cannot explain how you did it. Nor can you do it again.
I see hundreds of bad swings every year, I hear hundreds of excuses every year. .And I see little to no improvement in any of these swings year after year.
The frustration for some of these golfers is huge. Yet they are still on the range. Banging balls to the far right. Over and over and over. What I nightmare.
Your swing can be fixed. Use the Simple Golf Swing method. KISS ! It works. All the major principals are there for any player at any level. Improvement in this game of golf is not a given. What is a given is that the woods, lakes and neighborhoods on the RIGHT will see lots of golf balls> Unless you all use the Simple Golf Swing to fix your swing.
I hope to see some really great swings in my future as I walk the range.

Consider Golf Training to Bring Your Game up to Par
Are you one of the 80% of golfers who never break 100? Thats correct; according to statistics fewer than 1 in 5 amateur golfers ever break 100! If you fall into the category of weekend golfer who plays with the same group of players, who hits about the same score every week, with an occasional par or maybe even a birdie in your round, who loses a couple of bucks at bingo, bango, bongo or a $2.00 Nassau bet, you could likely benefit from some kind of golf training. Many golfers can improve their golf swing just by going to the driving range, many more just end up practicing the same flawed golf swing until they get really good at it. These are the golfers who really need some sort of golf training aid or program in order to improve their golfing skills.
Golf; being a lifetime sport that is accessible to almost everyone is growing by leaps and bounds. People from all around the world are joining the sport partly due to the media attention paid to some of the super stars on the PGA, LPGA and other professional tours…stars like Michelle Wie, Tiger Woods or Jack Nicklaus. Of course not everyone can play like Michelle, Tiger or Jack. Most of us feel we are lucky to make par on a hole, let alone birdie or eagle.
However we can learn a valuable lesson by paying attention to how these super stars and most other serious golfers prepare for competition. Some people think that these super stars already have all of the knowledge of the golf swing that they need. Far from it, evidenced by the large and growing cadre of golf coaches and swing guru’s that ply their trade with pro golfers. Check the bio’s of people like Rick Smith, Chuck Harmon, Dave Pelz, David Leadbetter and others too see who they are working with, you may be surprised to find the names of many of the super stars you are interested in, some of these golf coaches even travel the tour with the pro’s. If golfers of this caliber need to take lessons, and make use of swing coaches, it just makes sense that average golfers could also need help.
So what kind of instruction is available? Pick up any golf magazine or go to any of the golf superstores, go online, ask your golf course pro, you will be amazed at the variety or swing training aids, DVD or VHS lessons, books and other self help items you can find. The main question is do they work? Ask other golfers you know, they may have tried some of these items. Higher up the price scale are golf schools. There are more than 1000 golf schools listed online, in various golf magazines, they can be from half day to weeklong schools, and some include lodging and meals. They range in price from affordable to ridiculous. When searching for a golf school, check for what you can afford. Read the course syllabus to see what will be taught, look for smaller instructor to student ratios, and ask other golfers that may have gone what they gained. Finally do not overlook your local golf professional, these are golfers who have chosen to make golf course management and golf training their lifes work, many of them were amateur and/or college golf stars, some were or still are touring professionals. Ask around to find out who is really knowledgeable and good at giving instruction in your area. You will most likely find that one or two names come up more often than others. Schedule a lesson or a series of lessons.
Most importantly whatever method of golf training you choose, practice what you learn; if it does not work as well as you had hoped, try again, leaning is a lifelong experience. If you take the time to learn how to play the game and really improve your golf swing, you can look forward to many years of a satisfying sport, rather than years of frustration.
