Alignment – The Basics
Alignment is one of 4 basics of golf that you have to get master along with the grip, stance and posture. Once you have the basics right you will improve rapidly. If the basics are wrong you will find it difficult to improve. If you are not aligned properly, obviously the ball will not go where you want it to. As you can imagine if you are just slightly out in your alignment at the ball, how far will you be out when it has traveled over 200 yards. Good alignment is not difficult and here are some tips to help.
1. Take up a position behind the ball. This is your first step to achieve the right alignment. Stand directly behind the ball and make sure that you keep it between you and your target. Holding the club with the grip, pick a point on the ground that is about three feet from the ball in line with the target you are aiming for. Memorize that spot, whether it is a divot mark, small weed, broken tee peg, because you are going to use it as a reference to address the ball and to aim your club face later on.
2. Walk up to the ball and place the club head square to spot 3 feet in front of you that you had chosen earlier. Take your stance with your body square to your designated target line. Position your feet in accordance to the club, which you intend to use for the shot. The main idea here is to make sure that the lines corresponding to the tips of your toes, your knees, your hips, and your shoulders should all be in parallel to the target line. Your proper alignment, coupled with good swing fundamentals, should be enough to make the ball go straight into the hole with every shot.
3. You can make a quick check by placing your club across your shoulders and checking that they are on the target line. You can do the same with the toes of your shoes to make sure everything is square.
4. Always keep a check on your alignment, even the pros can fall into the trap of thinking they are lined up correctly when in reality they are way out.
Good basics lead to a good golf game. Don’t practice bad habits.

Guide To Good Golf Grip Setup
Developing good golf club grip takes some time and practice . Grip is the only connection with your golf club . That is why grip is so important . Having good grip is affect your swing accuracy and power . If you want to improve your golf swing you need to improve grip first .
There are three ways to grip your golf club . All those three grip types are good , you need to choose one which best fits for you . When you are practicing try all three grip types . Choose the one which gives you best results .
Here Are three golf grip types and short description about them :
Overlapping grip setup . This setup is very simple and you should not have any problems with it . Little finger of one hand is placed over the index finger of other hand .
Interlocking grip setup . This setup is similar to overlapping , but those two fingers are interlocked instead of overlapped . This is my favorite grip setup , i achieve best results with it . I found this golf grip type most comfortable to me too.
Baseball grip setup . In this grip setup finger are not overlapped or overlocked they just meet together . Sometimes I use this grip , when I am trying to hit long range shots .
There is never ending discussion about which grip type is the best . I suggest you to practice with them all. Choose grip setup which is most comfortable to you and stick to you . Only by practicing you can improve your golfing skills and make perfect golf swing .

Golf Grip Tip – The Correct Golf Grip Depends On The Pressure Points
The grip in golf is very important. No less an authority than Ben Hogan even started the first chapter of his classic book with this line:
Good golf starts with a good grip.
If you turn on your TV set each weekend you will see that most of the grips are very similar. Yet you also see a few that are not so conventional, but they still work.
There is much talk about overlapping, ten finger and interlocking when it comes to the golf grip. These options are all about the comfort of the player. You can choose whichever option feels right to you and be assured that someone on the tour is currently using it.
More important is the position of the hands on the golf club. This is where all the talk about V-pointing comes in. A good rule is that the V formed by the thumb and forefinger on each points to the rear shoulder. But that doesn’t work for everyone.
Everybody has to find their own best hand position for their individual golf swing. Just like ball position, proper hand position on the club cannot be taught. It is something that has to be learned over time and is different for each person. The important thing about the hand position in the golf grip, and ball position too for that matter, is that it be consistent.
Only when you can put your hands on the club exactly the same way every time can you really tell if your golf grip is working for you. Learn and practice gripping the golf club consistently the same.
What is for the most part overlooked in discussions of the golf grip is where the pressure comes from. What part of your hands should you feel the most control from and why?
The generic, conventionally wise advice is that the pressure in the golf grip should be felt in the last two or three fingers of each hand. Conventional wisdom is illogical and wrong. And it is ruining the golf of millions of people.
In the golf grip, the pressure in the left hand (for right handers) should be firmest in the last two fingers. On this, there is plenty of agreement. The problems start when the same advice is given for the right hand.
Logically, the the action of the right hand is the exact opposite as that of the left. Although both hands are turning the same direction, opposite muscle groups are used to achieve this kind of rotation for each arm.
Extend your arms out and hold your open hands out with the palms perpendicular to the ground. Turn both hands to the outside and you will notice most of the work is being done by the muscles on the bottom half of each forearm.
Now turn palms to the inside. You will notice that the muscles on the top part of the forearm are doing most of the work.
Keep in mind, of course, that all of the muscles are used and pressure is felt throughout both hands and the forearms in the golf grip. It is simply a matter of degree.
As far as the right hand in the golf grip, the pressure should be the firmest in the right thumb and forefinger. There should be enough pressure in the connection between the right thumb and forefinger to where you can fell a little more tension in the muscles of the upper part of the right wrist and forearm.
To sum it, in the golf grip the points of maximum pressure on each hand should be as far away from each other as possible. Anyone who tells you different automatically accepts what they have been told and just hasn’t though about it.
